Inheritance





There is a 50% chance of inheriting Huntingtons Disease, out of that 50% there is a 10% chance you can get Juvenile Huntingtons Disease. It is genetically inherited from an infected parent or a set of parents who's gene repeats are above 36. Although many children with JHD do not grow old enough to have children of their own, if a person with JHD did have a child, the child could NOT get adult HD and would have a 50% chance of inheriting JHD.
